There are some Brookstone lamps, but they mostly cost over $100.
Then there's a $60 lamp here, but I'm not sure if I'll miss out on some features by buying it.
I'm mostly concerned with staying energized/reducing melatonin secretion when I'm awake.

I'm not terribly familiar with light therapy, but am generally open to all sorts of ideas. That said, if Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a concern, I'd suggest looking at getting tested for vitamin D and supplementing to raise levels. There is research suggesting higher levels than currently recommended levels can be beneficial for lots of things including some that relate to mood. I assume you've looking into supplementing with melatonin, but I'd also look into 5-htp. Some safe and sane supplementation can help your body help you, and I lean towards that before trying an external 'fix'. |
