I would like to improve my ability to read facial expressions. Obviously, I am going to try to pay more attention to these during conversations, but the difficultly with this method is that you are often not going to know whether you are correct or not. Any suggestions?

If it happens while you're participating in a discussion, you should consider using your "guess" in the conversation, like: "It seems you're concerned about XYZ." or "I bet it's exciting to see ABC happen." This is the best way to verify your ability to read facial expressions, it operates as a feedback loop between you and person who is speaking. |
