Confrontation is a huge part of my life.
For example, in my job as project manager I need to confront clients about things that might make them upset or I need to talk to them when I know they are upset about something.
The other is in dating where if I go out on a couple of dates with a guy and then decide I am not interested in him, I want to tell him in the most sensitive way - usually through a phone call - but I am frozen by fear, thinking about the confrontation involved.
Basically, I spent a lot of my time dreading the confrontation in my life.
Are there techniques one could use to stop fearing confrontation so intensely?
