I study at a high school/college and I'll soon have my exams period.
I was wondering what is the best way to study, given that I want to get the most use out of my time.
What should I pay attention to?

For preparation these things might be of great help if implemented correctly..

  1. Fix a proper schedule for yourself counting the number of days you have and the subjects to cover.
  2. Make a daily agenda and short term goals.
  3. Select important topics from your course and work on them till you are confident you would be able to attempt them even without a revision. Rest of the topics would need only a quick look to make sure you know them.
  4. Juggle between theoretical subjects and sums/ problems.
  5. Make sure you do not make your schedule overburdened or monotonous. Take proper breaks and enjoy studying.

Well, I think the most effective studying method is this. When you must study the best way is, firstly, studying about 25 minutes, and after studying 25 minutes, a 5 minutes relax. After that, repeate it for 3-5 times and you're done.

So you're referring to Pomodoro Technique. I've heard about it, and I think it's one of the best solutions out there. – Eneko Sarasola May 6 '12 at 19:22

One way that can help you study is to avoid being distracted like an "Airplane Mode". This mode can help you stay focus while studying because you need to turn off all you gadgets that can distract you like mobile phone. In order to get most out your time you need to schedule things out so that you can minimize wasted time and get more things done in short period of time. The key that you can follow schedule and finish it on time is with discipline.
