Any suggestions about mobile Java (J2ME) apps suitable for measuring Pomodoros? I've already tried Pomodoro and Doing!, but the first can't measure break period and has no settings (I work in the same room with couple other folks and need to disable sound alarm), and the second doesn't seem to work on my phone.

I use a couple of interval training programs for my iPhone (which are effectively Pomodoro timers) - the one I use is Interval Timer, but I think your best bet if you really want J2ME is to investigate interval timing rather than Pomodoro timing. |

What's the point? Is it so hard to take a look at the clock after ~15, 20 minutes and put some small notes on a piece of paper / phone? Honestly, the integrity of pomodoro isn't the "25min." chunk, but the way your thoughts shift when you know that your work session has a limited duration. I don't see why an app would be any more effective in implementing the pomodoro technique then a simple clock on your phone. Perhaps you're focusing on "tracking" instead of the point behind pomodoro - productivity. |
