I'm trying to build a board of ideas in which any invited participant can pitch in contributions. It should be easy to tell in what level of progress each idea is and that is what I'm naming milestone.
So far I could come up with the following:
1. Problem
What problem are we trying to solve anyway?
2. Idea
The solution. This is the part when everybody suggests a solution to the described problem. Every one of them can be discussed and voted.
3. Planning
Who are the people involved in implementing the chosen solution? When is the deadline? What concrete numbers are we expecting to achieve?
4. Execution
I'm not sure what goes here.
5. Feedback
After a given amount of time, I guess it depends on how big the solution is, we evaluate whether it worked or not. I'm not sure if it's important to invest time in this phase.

Now since I've never put some much thought into the planning for others to see and contribute, I'm not sure what is important and what isn't. So what are the fundamental milestones for an idea?
