After doing some fiddling with some Excel sheets, I saw that it worked out nicely for me to have a monthly or trimestrial todo list with checkboxes and a progress bar on top.

The general look and feel is described on To-do List with Priorities using Excel

Question: As I am not much of an Excel fan, are there any web apps that implements something very similar in look and feel?

If not, I might start developing a web based solution.

Is percent done the volume of work completed? their formula doesn't make sense: "Formulas – to calculate % done based on how many activities are done & their priorities." – JeffO Mar 17 at 14:46
To make it simple, if each task has the same priority, if you have 10 tasks to to and you've done 5, that you are at 50%. Makes sense? – Valentin Despa Mar 17 at 14:59

Thanks for the links, I've tried checkvist, it's quite good. I don't particularly like the the progress bar is not in the list itself. – Valentin Despa Mar 18 at 21:47

I have been using a brand new, alpha, system called simplist.me - it's very early stages, but they are super responsive to feedback and are about to have the progress bar show up. If you are into this they'd probably love to hear from you with ideas. I spoke with one of the founders a while back and they seem to be moving in a good direction.
