I'm looking for a way to find a common time to schedule a meeting among 3 or more people; this can be really frustrating, but for example, an online service could help a lot.

Are there any free services to schedule meetings what has your experience with them been?

Please indicate if the service is available in other languages or multi-lingual.

@Dmitry thank you, I corrected the question, of course this should not be limited to Web Apps, but all online or offline services or even non electronical ways. Maybe some people schedule their meetings on a blackboard in the break room and they could share their experience here. It is about productivity, not about the web. – mit Jul 24 '11 at 10:09

Doodle is very fast, easy to use, and no registration is required.

I am voting for this option as I represent one of those who regularly arrange group meetings for open source projects. My meetings involve people from many continents (time zones). Doodle has proved to be a productivity tool for such meeting arrangements. – Tushar Joshi Jul 23 '11 at 14:14

http://whenisgood.net/ also works well

I've used it a couple of times to schedule online meetings with 4 people from different parts of the world.

If they have a Google account, it looks like they can now use Google "Appointment slots".

Google Calendar. Since many people have personal accounts on Google, the barrier is low.

I see that TimeToMeet has some advantages:

  • It lets you "paint" the schedule on the computeer screen which is quite intuitive and quick
  • It allows you to keep your preferred time private

Disadvantages:

  • It requires registration, login with other services (like OpenID, Yahoo or Google Account) not possible.

The Doodle page at alternativeTo is a good starting point to explore other similar solutions.

Other possible ways:

By makig a classical telephone conference.

Some sort of group chat, for example IRC or the "group chat" feature of services like Yahoo Messenger, AIM or skype
