I have too many bookmarks in my Chrome bookmark bar. At the moment I'm using folders to group the bookmarks and now I was wondering: is there a better way to organize the bookmarks?

Yes. In fact, there is:

  1. Right-click on a bookmark which you can easily recognize by its favicon and choose Edit…

  2. Delete the name

And Ta-dah! There is plenty of space for more bookmarks.

Good suggestion. One problem I have found is that the icons for Google Calendar is the same as Google Reader. Same problem if I have many sites that does not have an implementation of those small icons (not sure what their names are.) – tehnyit Aug 25 '11 at 11:28
