comment How do I use sleep to my advantage?
The Kindle Fire's LCD would wake you up, but a Kindle 1 e-ink display would not be any different to a book. Some people find that they need to read a really trashy/simple book to calm their mind for sleep. Too exciting, or technically absorbing, a book may make the mind race.

comment How can people advise me to throw away my 'to do' list?
However, doing the exercise - using the label "less important" instead of "not important" - was really helpful. I have a clearer idea of which task to pick next, and feel a little more in control. Thank you @Gruber

I'm having trouble equating "not important" with "tasks for dustbin". Just because something isn't important (or urgent) why does that mean it doesn't need doing? Maybe I've cleared all the least-important tasks off my list already so it's hard to look at it in this light.

comment Do everyone's procrastination tendancies seem schizophrenic?
An interesting point about New Year's resolutions there. So it's a "yes" to my question...but I wanted to know if the strength of feeling was quite as extreme in everyone? I feel I act like another person, I'm so highly motivated for the 2 minutes I make my mind up for the future....and then it's back to other end of the slacker spectrum in no time at all.

comment Often-heard advice for success: “Wake up earlier.” But how much sleep is enough?
I'm sure I read that the reason for sleep is to process out toxins in the brain.

comment How do you get yourself to do “assigned tasks”?
This is mind-blowing. But nice to hear that I am not the only person who feels that the ease of doing X can vary wildly depending on (supposedly) unrelated factors.

comment How to improve Self-Discipline?
If you can manage 6 hours a day then I don't think you've got a problem! I'm the one struggling to hit 6 at all...
