How about blank paper or paper with light grey dots (like dottedpaper.com/download/dotted.pdf)? With enough practice you can write straight enough and are not restricted on how to big your letters are.

comment How does a software developer will become most successful person in his professional lfe
I voted to close you other question, because I think career advice that is that specific is off-topic here. Unfortunately programmers.stackexchange.com tends to think that career advice is also offtopic there (meta.stackexchange.com/questions/110852/…), so I don't have a good place for your question. My advice would be to think about your current strengths and areas where you have to develop your skills (maybe ask coworkers or your boss). Then investigate how to improve in these areas.

comment Alternative methods of tagging to organize thoughts?
Another tip for nvAlt/notationalVelocity/ResophNotes: Always chose the setting to have one txt file per note in a folder. This way you can easily edit the notes in another editor, sync them using dropbox, add notes with scripts. I also sync my notes with Simplenote.com and use FlickNote on my Android Device (perfomance of the app is great once you buy the premium key and get rid of ads).

@Dallas: Resophnotes is said to be very similar to notational velocity and runs on Windows: resoph.com/ResophNotes/Welcome.html Also: +1 to keword search instead of tagging. I help this process by adding a "keywords: ..." line to reference files sometimes to add additional keywords that may not be present in the text (e.g. because they are not in the same language or synonyms)

comment Does military background enhance productivity?
@vprisivko: True that. I suppose I'm biased since I opted out of my military service for ethical reasons (a right which the German constitution granted me), but the anecdotal evidence I gave means to give an additional information how the German military is not educating towards efficiency.

Actually most fellow Germans think back to their mandatory service time as a time that went to waste and was filled with senseless orders that had the purpose of killing time.
