comment What is the best way to schedule your day?
As for your specific question, it depends on the friend, the favour and what I need to give up to meet my friend's needs. For me, my immediate family's needs normally take priority over my friend's, but my friend's needs would take priority over putting in extra hours at work.

That's a big question in itself! I've actually spent a lot of time thinking about what really matters to me, and I continue to re-evaluate my value system based on on new information and insights. The importance I place on things is influenced by my faith, the people around me, my teachers and (for good or ill) my personality. I found Stephen Covey's books, "First Things First" and "7 Habits" provided helpful guiance on how to think about these things.

comment How to reduce the usage of mobile at home?
As for family activities, there are lots of options. Going for a walk, sport, playing board games, just having a chat, doing chores together, playing with your kids, watching a movie, sharing a hobby, making stuff, playing video games... Your best bet is to ask them what they like doing.

Choice of blocking app will depend on what platform your phone uses. Some routers offer a site blocking function, as do some ISPs. Personally, I use my router's time-based profiles at home and Leech Block for Firefox at work (because I use a desktop there).
