comment Are there established patterns/methodologies to establishing a knowledge management system?
I have a tentative UI and data model in my head to go about it, but I have some other priorities right now in my app. If you want, sign up at leakmap.com and I'll let you know when I get around to our dream productivity solution.

comment Are there established patterns/methodologies to establishing a knowledge management system?
I came to these conclusions out of my own (unfulfilled) needs, and I've yet to find software that addresses it, so I'm working on it myself.

comment How do I concentrate, feel comfortable and be productive?
Also key is that uncluttered environments invite productivity. When your desk is a mess, it's hard to find the clarity to work, it can even kill motivation for an otherwise passionate undertaking. Also +1 for sitting/standing.

I added a paragraph on my answer counterpointing this with my opinion.
