The tough part is definitely coming up with the right questions in the first place. After that, reviewing material is like a game, and you can go through your daily cards blazingly fast (I'd say 10 to 30mins a day for most decks). Of course, as with spaced repetition itself, consistency is much better than intense bursts of effort. So go adding just a few (5 to 10) cards a day based on what you study.

comment How to concentrate (read a book or work) when other people are talking instead of listening to their conversation?
well I'd still go with earbuds instead of earplugs, if only because it will not look as weird and impolite--you can pretend to be listening to music and no one is offended by that. Plus depending on the volume of chatter noise you're ready to boot up some music to improve the cancellation effect.

I guess as long as it also sounds interesting to the other people in the room it's all good.

On windows, I have sworn by Launchy for a number of years now. Can't imagine life without it.

comment Should I schedule my tasks with deadlines?
Yes, if you consider how much those list-toppers have allowed you to willingly accomplish over the months, it's so much more value than they would provide themselves. Willpower is a limited resource and often better spent on setting habits (like the Pomodoro Technique) than forcing yourself to do your most dreaded work. I wanted to also mention GTD in my answer but felt it might be too much, not sure if you know it, but after you get used to Pomodoro you can search this website for questions regarding how to integrate the two.

comment Can tea be the cause of sleeping issues?
Note that working at the computer up till before you go to sleep is more likely to be a cause for excitement. You may wanna check out F.lux if that's your case.

comment How do you start working?
I agree vision and goals are absolutely necessary to give us the kind of motivation we need, and we must constantly keep them in mind. But without a practical plan to establish the habits that will support those goals and lead to long-term achievement, your answer will not provide much help. "Motivation" can't make a procrastinator bull his way through work all the time, willpower is limited, but habit is not. So the key is spending finite willpower in setting the habit, as an investment.

I actually think a procrastinator's mind is much more wickedly complex than simply motivation and fitness, and clever tricks should in fact be used. If you're not a heavy procrastinator, your advice will only sound like "just do it!" to one, no matter how you paint it. Habit, though, is one such clever trick and quite a natural one too.

Perhaps your inquiry could benefit from a rephrasing that would maybe include the word in question.

comment Does good physical condition (e.g. fitness and nutrition) lead to increased personal productivity?
The former? You didn't mean the latter? Though believing in just purchasing your way to happiness and quality of life once you're rich ain't a bad dream.
