comment How does taking a break from work improve productivty?
By the way, congrats on using your network reputation bonus to downvote everyone. Why don't YOU take a go instead of playing karma police?

Not exclusively IMO, "What should you do during your break?" seems to a good degree subjective to me.

comment Finish all the jobs without completing any pomodoro?
Putting on headphones may also help, both in getting you to focus (try rainymood.com if you don't like working with music) and in making you less accessible.

Well, I think telling them about the Pomodoro Technique, on an individual basis, as a casual conversation, would be a good start. Once they know why you do it, it gets much easier to support.

comment Working before breakfast--for how long should one go?
Well, it's not the ideal to eat JUST when you already feel hungry. I say that because I try to have 5 or 6 meals a day. So in that context, it's a good idea to eat something (not much, just something, hopefully non-sugary) right as you get up, so within 2-3 hours you can already be having another meal.

I think this would go here, no? The question is not completely clear, but I take it's about learning, isn't it? We do talk about apps for productivity all the time. Please clarify, @kaushik.

comment When leveraging the Pomodoro technique
@0x6d64 even though you may feel motivated, I think studying/working uninterrupted for long hours decreases your focus (efficiency) and especially your creativity, and we really don't notice it if we're even so still engrossed in the job. Breaks could improve the quality if quality of your work matters.

So you just carry it in your pocket without any case, and you don't get even minor stains from leftover ink? I suppose you wipe it out before then, or is even that not necessary in your experience? I'm sure I'd forget all the time!
