comment Motivational background/lock screen
Not speaking for everyone, but I have difficulty imagining how in the world of DEmotivators can someone be inspired by a genuine motivational poster. In every true motivational poster I see I personally immediately try to identify sarcasm or scorn of some sort.

comment How to stop watching movies?
How does reminding you not to do something really help in not doing it? It's like if you try to drop smoking and people around you constantly mention that you are not smoking right now.

comment Is blogging about what you learn useful?
I don't think I know something unless I can explain it (to a real person or to a «rubber duck»). So yes, blogging is definitely useful, even if you have zero visitors — it's a way to check that your knowledge «compiles».

comment How do I make myself stop doing addictive activity?
@DenisGolomazov: (again, it is my personal experience) I didn't have this habit back then, it just kind of developed naturally. I would suggest stopping an unproductive activity abruptly a few times and seeing if you start getting the «alarm signal» automatically. I also suspect that the key element here is abruptness, i. e. if you wait until you finish the level or TV show episode (instead of hitting Quit the moment you got the thought), it won't be effective. Of course it won't work with hugging, but that's another matter.
