I spent my Junior year of university in Yamaguchi, Japan, and am currently studying for N1 to get into a post-grad program to become an interpreter. My understanding of Japanese has swung from textbook to practical and back to textbook, but I'm always trying to improve it!

Windows Freeware/Shareware programs for tracking daily tasks? Yeah, they have a free trial, but it expires in 14 days. It's not something I'm actively searching for, I just use a LibreOffice spreadsheet to keep track of my time...but it has it's limits :) |
