What are must have time management and productivity books? Yep, everyone should absolutely read Getting Things Done. |

an email / discussion forum productivity tool: a visually guided (manual) meaning extraction (more inside …) I have often imagined something exactly like this for extracting "todos" from emails. It's something I would actually consider writing myself if there was sufficient interest. |

Advantages of a label printer So, in other words, more "stuff" I have to think about. It sounds like I could have a much easier life by just not having a labeler. |

How to manage long tasks in GTD This post tells us that you have not spent any time researching GTD, which is all about breaking down bigger projects into discrete actions. |

The productive label printer I agree this should be its own question. A key feature of GTD is that it can be implemented at any technology level. I use the excellent Dymo LetraTag LT-100T, but a sheet of labels and a Sharpie would be equally functional. The look of a properly printed label is just psychological and I don't think it makes much difference in a GTD system. Also, flat batteries, empty tape cartridges, or someone borrowing your labeler can all be a barrier to creating a file. |
