How to spend less time in compositions correction? Peer review is often not appropriate in a school situation as it can create a situation where poor students are made fun of. |

How to be a smart worker rather than hard worker to be fit for the IT industry? Nice answer, I would also add, the smart worker knows his profession in depth and doesn't have to look up the basics repeatedly. I can write queries in minutes that take other devlopers days becasue I know the data model so well. It saves a lot of time to stop looking at knowldge as disposable and start remebering it. |

How to study efficiently few days before the exams [considering that one hasn't throughly studied any subject by now]? And human beings have better retention if they take notes in writing rather than on a computer. |

Best work from home tips ? If anyone working for me turned off his email, IM and phone when working remotely, he would not be working remotely for long (in fact I have seen people fired for not being available during work hours when an urgent issue came up)! If your boss can't contact you, then he or she is not going to be happy at all. |

How to overcome productivity/daytime-correlation Perhaps you have been seduced by the stupid idea that you must be in a flow state to get anything done? The secret is to just keep slogging through even when you don't feel like it. Even when you get distracted or dislike the task. Who cares, none of that is important. You simply keep working. Sure you won't work as fast as when you are in the flow, but who cares about that either. Persistence is FAR FAR more important than flow. You don't have to be motivated to work, you don't have to enjoy the task to work, you just have to work. |

I'm chronically late to work: how do I change this? For me it helps to do nothing except what I need to do to get dressed and out the door. Especially nothing that involves reading, sitting or Internet use. I get up and let the dogs out, go to the bathroom, brush my teeth, shower, dress and let the dogs in and then I leave the house. If you must have breakfast, then make it the night before and take it to work and eat it there. When I was younger and really struggled with this, I even prepped my clothes the night before so I didn't have to make any decisions about what to wear or spend time ironing. |

How do I concentrate, feel comfortable and be productive? @VicGoldfeld, I disagree, I find that I am much less productive when my desk is clean. I have a sterile environment and find it very distracting. I want stuff around me. I am a visual person and if things are filed, they cease to exist. |

How can I approach time and arrangements being compromised by unfavourable company? @WarrenvanRooyen, I don't waste time resenting people I dislike or am mad at. Be polite and move on. In life avoiding them is not always possible or desirable. If you want to maintain a relationship with your kids, you will need to be able to deal with your ex-wife at weddings, graduations etc. You cannot pick and choose which of your coworkers you will be willing to work with if you want to remain employed, etc. |

How can I approach time and arrangements being compromised by unfavourable company? I agree with @JeanneBoyarsky, this question is not at all about productivity. It appears to me that you are creating all the drama and that you are the only one with the problem. If you think you might attack one for the crime of leaving a phone message, you are in serious need of counseling. Adults learn to get along with people they don't like, co-workers, bosses, ex-spouses, former friends. Children play games like "I'll take my ball and go home if I don't get my way." Stop acting like a child. |
