comment How to cancel out caffeine's effects on sleep?
At the end of the day, try to set one or two rules, stick with them for a few weeks to see how they go and get on with your life and don't obsess too much every day.

Try to stay awake and sleep at 11am would be my approach. Do this by getting up, walking to another room and back. Standing up for a few minutes.

Old coffee tastes like crap so I don;t bother anyway.

Good question - I have heard - anecdotally - that coffee that sits on the heater increases its caffeine by as much as a factor of 2-3! As for iced coffee compared to hot, no idea, haven't heard anything specific on that.

Good point. You may have a medical need. However be cautious, in high school your body is also changing in 100 other ways, so attributing things to one factor may be unwise :) However I will add medical to my answer.

Yes. Despite Doctors advice, 4-5 works for me. The main rule that I try to follow is not coffee after 3pm-ish. Sometimes I sleep at 9pm, sometimes 1am, but that 'time cut-off' rule works for me.
