I'm a developer from Takoma Park, MD.

At the office, I work on MSSQL, C#, VB.NET, Javascript, ASP.NET.

At home, I'm a vegan, a sci-fi fan, dabble in foreign languages and enjoy book clubs.

I will try to up vote everyone who answers me and I thank everyone who has freely given me some of their time to answer my various questions.

comment How long does it take to learn Gregg shorthand?
8 semesters according to my memory of my high school class guide. Gregg, if I remember correctly, is very similar to Chinese, lots of essentially distinct symbols with some phonetic hints to the word. So you have to learn a lot of symbols. There are many, many short hands systems. I recommend looking around for something with the right balance of speed and ease of learning that works for you.

comment Which paper systems exist to crank through many vocabulary flashcards?
Why paper? I work at the office all day staring at a screen. Everyone in a while, one wants to get a break from the machines. Anyhow, from the standpoint of memorization, it seems it would be more effective to learn something in several contexts other than just in front of a screen.
