comment Too lazy to do programming?
First you have to determine whether your laziness is physiological or psychological. That's a big difference, so it's impossible to give the correct answer. I would say it's physiological; since you're asking this question.

If you become a millionaire, please come back and confirm this works.

I doubt your company is so "reputed", since it consists of obviously immature and egoistic people.

comment Gamification to improve myself
People who fall for this just become better at being "rats in a maze". When it comes to real life questions and serious personal development, no game or "pretending" will help - it'll just distract you for a while, creating an illusion.

comment How to use caffeine properly?
I'm pretty sure my performance is zero without caffeine. I'm not sure why yet, but until then drugs are the way, which is the reason I'm trying to optimize the usage.

I can't accept your answer. I asked how to use caffeine effectively - not how to get "more energy".

If he can't do it at home, he won't be able to focus at a public place. His problem is probably physiological.

+1 for the water part. I'd say it's the critical factor in energy / motivation because so many people are chronically dehydrated.

comment How to cancel out caffeine's effects on sleep?
Yes it is likely. How do you explain my sudden raise in grades (from D to B/A) after starting to regularly use caffeine prior to studying? I could "face, accept, understand" as much as I wanted; my body refused to do mental work. It was a physically based problem; not a mental one.

Ok, few more things. For example; if I drink one cup at 5PM; but I get sleepy at 9PM, do you think I should wait 8 hours (until 1AM) before going to sleep? Do you think it's better to go to sleep once your body is detoxed from coffee or is it better to go to sleep when you get sleepy?

I'm also interested whether you know anything about the difference between caffeine effects when it's drank cooled vs warm? I kind of get a different buzz from a hot coffee then from a cooled one.

In highschool I didn't use coffee and I almost failed a whole year because of that. I was also very stagnant / unable to finish fundamental tasks. So I doubt things would get better if I quit it.

Except a time limit do you also set a quantity limit? Like 4 or 5 per day. Also does this work for you? You wake up feeling good every day by following these rules?

I don't have a constant source of income which I could use to change my diet. I'm guessing it's either diet or my genetic composition that makes me unable to work without caffeine.

Are you speaking from experience? Have you had the same problems before?

I have a dynamic wake time so 3PM doesn't mean much to me. How much hours after waking up do you allow yourself to drink coffee?

"Serious" is considered when it impairs your daily life to the extent in which you can't normally function.

If you have a serious form of AD/HD, I think it might be the solution for your problem, because your problem is of physical nature, not mental. You can't fix your issue by "thinking differently" as people here have suggested.

Put your phone in your pants pocket and set it to "vibrate" mode.

This is a myth. Exercise promotes alertness and gives energy - it doesn't take it away (unless of course taken into extremes, but I'm guessing you won't do that).
