I love coding but now my day job does not permit me to code. However, I always steal time to code a few lines or look into other's code.

+1, always used gtask in my gmail. But canvas view is much better. I like indentation and reorder.

comment How do I stay on top of e-mails while remaining focused on real work? Are there tools for this?
@HedgeMage, If you have gone through the wiki link mentioned in my answer, you would know that it provides details. There is no point copying and pasting the same stuff here when you can just give a link. If OP needs some more clarification, he can write a comment for that. I do not see any point in down voting the answer.

comment Confusion about using Evernote or RTM to implement personal productivity system
@Samrat, In Webversion, navigate to the desired note i.e. the note should be open in the right pane. Then copy the url from address bar of your browser and paste it into RTM. Later, when you click on this URL, it opens up the desired note.

Yes, you can encrypt any text in Evernote. Select the text you want to encrypt and then select 'Format => Encrypt Selected Text'.

You can use keepfocused - a open source Pomodoro Technique software tool. This will help you to keep focused on a task. (disclaimer: I am the developer and user of this tool).

comment Which one to use - Evernote or One Note
@Robert, IMHO my question is very clear. I asked for a choice between the two tools. And frankly speaking, I got my answer as well. However, I respect the moderator's decision because it's community moderation technique that keeps SO sites so clean and useful.

I agree with you. But onenote lack the 'Access Anywhere' thing. It is not available on the web. I think, as Soner suggested, I should keep using both application. But I need to make a system like what to go in onenote and what to go in evernote.

+1, Your question is good. Better ask your question on career-development site of Stack Exchange. If any moderator can migrate it to there, it will be best.

comment Training yourself to sleep less
To answer your second question, I do not think that sleeping 12 hours on weekend is a problem for me. It may be a matter or personal choice, I do not feel that I am working all the time. For me, it is not like that if I am not sleeping, I will be working. Many times I found myself wasting time watching stupid TV serials or cartoons with my daughter. If you really are interested in being more productive, I suggest to follow some time management techniques. Personally I follow Pomodoro Technique and GTD (to some extant).

Well, it did not take 8 years. I don't know precisely when it started. While I was answering your question, I reflected back and found that it was at least 8 years. I suggest reduce your sleep one hour per month. But the most important factor here is belief. If you keep thinking about it, you will feel tired. Just begin waking one hour early or going to bed one hour late. And believe that there is nothing special. Do not think about it... just do it.
