I have been managing international teams on global improvement programmes for FTSE and Fortune 100 companies for the last 10 years or so, and have a pretty good grasp on managing productivity from myself and teams of up to 100 - but still loads to learn.

Got my Prince2 foundation, and familiar with it through various public sector contracts.

I am a long term member of Mensa, the high IQ society, and head up two professional bodies in Scotland: ISACA and the Institute of Information Security Professionals.

Have founded two consultancies, and run large teams for two global professional services firms - so have an excellent view of the balance required at both ends.

Tend to look at the bigger picture, rather than the benefits of a specific tool.

comment How to cancel out caffeine's effects on sleep?
There are an unlimited number of reasons. While there are a tiny percentage of people who do need extra help in the chemical stimulus department, it is unlikely.

Justin - I would assume it was moved because it was not wanted on programmers. The productivity community here has programmers as well as a wide range of other individuals and this question is really not about programming, so I would wait and see what answers you get.

Also useful: get a monitor with a high refresh rate - this reduces tiredness and eyestrain

comment I find it impossible to wake up early
Read this answer on skeptics - it references the commonly accepted fact that sleep requirement does in fact decrease with age: skeptics.stackexchange.com/a/10673/619

Don't let that be possible then. Get an extra loud alarm clock and put it in the next room

comment Creative Common system to memorize 1000 numbers from 0-999
But what is the practical application Kramii? I learnt how to memorise sequences of 100 digits for fun many years ago but have never found a use for this in anything other than pub games and magic tricks.

This is nothing to do with productivity. It is an interesting memory training trick. If you have a practical productivity application of this, please edit and flag for reopening.

comment maintaining productivity through disillusionment
Can you explain what you mean by disillusionment - do you mean your job isn't giving you what you need? Or are you not achieving something in your daily life? Or something else?

comment Is there something where can I throw away my frustration for an individual
+1 Totally agree. Don't do anything when in this frustration - wait until calm, so you don't regret it later. Useful activities can include a good workout. I like to go for a run or play some loud rock guitar if I have encountered a major frustration during my day - it really helps!

comment How do you act confident?
Excellent answer - a great positive is to get a 'soul jar' which your friends can populate with positive statements about you. When you feel less confident, read the contents of the jar - it sounds very uplifting.

comment How to control the urge of refreshing the forum pages to see if someone has replied?
This works well along with Pomodoro or similar tools. In Pomodoro you do not follow any notification (exceptions granted in life threatening emergencies :-) and only check on your next break.
