I have been managing international teams on global improvement programmes for FTSE and Fortune 100 companies for the last 10 years or so, and have a pretty good grasp on managing productivity from myself and teams of up to 100 - but still loads to learn.

Got my Prince2 foundation, and familiar with it through various public sector contracts.

I am a long term member of Mensa, the high IQ society, and head up two professional bodies in Scotland: ISACA and the Institute of Information Security Professionals.

Have founded two consultancies, and run large teams for two global professional services firms - so have an excellent view of the balance required at both ends.

Tend to look at the bigger picture, rather than the benefits of a specific tool.

This is not a personal productivity question. It is a psychology question. We do have a couple of questions tagged motivation that are well worded, but yours is too broad.

Hi A Clean, this question is going to elicit a large list of answers, none of which will be the right answer. This type of question is not really suited to Stack Exchange. As such I'll put it on hold for now - if there is an edit you can make that would bring it back on track as per the How to Ask pages, we can reopen.

This will entirely depend on your ability to learn. Personally I'd agree with Robert that learning these is utterly infeasible. You could definitely read all those books in 3 months, but your retention... Closed as opinion based.

i Shravan, While I think Jeanne's answer cover's off a few of the points you have listed in your post. It is very difficult to understand what you are asking - we recommend you post one question so that it can be answered. You can edit your post to make it clearer.

Margaret, if you are affiliated with this product, you must disclose this affiliation in your post. Otherwise this looks a lot like self promotion and will be deleted.

comment Can reading English literature be productive for a programmer?
As Stephan correctly pointed out, this is not on topic here. There could be all manner of discussion as to what people should do with their free time, but it is all subjective. One point all agree on is that a chunk of free time should be spent doing something entirely unconnected to your day job.
