comment How do you manage several major goals?
one such tool is the MYN "Master Your (Workday) Now"* Method by Michael Linenberger (see michaellinenberger.com/1MTDvsMYN.html ) One of its essentials is sorting the tasks according to their "start date" with the most recent first. I can highly recommend his book. There is also a reduced version of this method, called "The One Minute to do list", which is described in a free ebook: michaellinenberger.com/free1MTD.htm Note: I'm not affiliated in any way with this company, just a "fan". :-)

using a light is for sure a great method, but it is only possible if there are no other people in the same bedroom which do not want to wake up at the same time

comment How *exactly* do you manage all of the various things you need to do during the workday?
a very interesting question - IMHO you are asking for some sort of "micro project management" tool, which creates a master plan considering all your small projects and tasks and their dependencies. I'd love to have some tool like that, but I fear it would be far too complicated ... however I'm looking forward to the answers.

Could you please add more details about your situation (private/professional) and what you need the information for? At the moment, your question seems unclear, as the close-votes show. Have you had a look at similar topics: productivity.stackexchange.com/questions/tagged/… ? What are you currently doing to process/manage your data and information?
