Tickler file for email @Sandra don't feel offended or not welcome. All we are trying to do is to make the SE experience as useful as possible for the community as a whole. This is especially important on a new site like this one since we get a lot of SE-first-timers. You have now received a couple of upvotes for your answer which is great and means that the site you linked indeed has some good information re this question. Why not provide us with the summary in your answer to make it even better and more valuable? Thanks! |

Is there a proven method for managing emails? @Tom I disagree about archiving. I do not delete email. At all. However, I'm close to 0 inbox (or try to be). Keeping a searchable archive of all mail (GMail) gives me an easy ability to find anything I need there very quickly without worrying of keeping it offline, backing it up, etc. As long as you have good rganisation (e.g. labels) and search skills then I don't see any harm but only benefit in archiving. |

How can I succeed in remembering people's names? Provided they 1) have a LinkedIn profile (not always) 2) have a photo on LinkedIn (again, not a always) - narrow but useful suggestion imo. |

Automated time tracking program for Linux I agree with @Rory, this question is not constructive. However, as a bonus I can suggest RescueTime which fits your description and has a Linux version. |

How can I succeed in remembering people's names? Thank you. edit However, your answer here still does not provide substance. To make it a truly great answer you could summarize the points raised in the linked resource in your own words so a user here could get the idea of what you are suggesting just by reading your answer and then following the link if further reading is desired. |

What FUTURE-PROOF software for building & managing a personal BIG knowledge base? I'm merely raising a discussion point rather than blatantly suggesting to close the question right off the bat. As I say I'm personally very interested in this question but I am unsure if it belongs on this site. |

What FUTURE-PROOF software for building & managing a personal BIG knowledge base? imo this is a software question and not a productivity question (though very interesting) |

Is there an automatic time tracking application? Welcome to the Personal Productivity SE site. Please provide explanation of the tool, its use and applicability to the question in your answer, rather than a link and a generic comment. Thanks. |

Avoiding procrastination on university assignments And I assume that current situation isn't giving you the best result? The reason I'm clarifying is because in the university situation I always found myself performing a lot better when I worked to a tight deadline even though I could have done things in advance. |
