comment Is there an automatic time tracking application?
Welcome to the Personal Productivity SE site. Please provide explanation of the tool, its use and applicability to the question in your answer, rather than a link and a generic comment. Thanks.

Good comment @Grant. Just clarifying the question.

And I assume that current situation isn't giving you the best result? The reason I'm clarifying is because in the university situation I always found myself performing a lot better when I worked to a tight deadline even though I could have done things in advance.

IMO this is even a bigger productivity killer because employees will spend times on workaround to get to Facebook/Twitter etc

First 2 points in my answer here: productivity.stackexchange.com/questions/94/…. Tell me if that's enough or not enough detail and I'll post a bigger answer here

comment Has research been done between messiness on a desk and productivity?
You'd be surprised how many correlations were found in places where nobody should really have been looking...

A comment more than an answer this one. Though very valid!

Great question. I am a "messy desk person" and keep hearing about clearing it to be more productive. But I find my mess helpful at times. I think I might dig for that research we are after here...

Great point. Though it'd be good to see a "fancier" answer too with actual techniques being suggested :)

comment Do ergonomic keyboards/mice provide significant productivity improvement over “average” counterparts?
It's a good answer but on a tangent I think. What I had in mind as proof was something like: "ergonomic" keyboard reduces time to do/type [xyz] by [123]; "ergonomic" mouse allows [quicker/better/stronger] performance in [xyz].
